Legalization of documents in Ukraine
The UKRPEREVOD Bureau offers to quickly and efficiently formalize the procedure of legalization of documents in Ukraine. Such a process implies official confirmation of the authority of the person who issued the document and its legality in the territory of other states. For example, the need for legalization may arise when entering a foreign educational institution, employment or other operations abroad. After a number of formal procedures, the document receives legal force and can be considered by various bodies and structures of other countries.
What documents are subject to legalization?
It should be noted that it is worthwhile to legalize a document only when visiting the list of countries that did not sign the Hague Convention in 1961. While the countries that are members of the Hague Convention have a simplified legalization system – affixing an apostille. Depending on the country, a number of procedures for preparing documents may vary. The legalization process applies to:
- documents on civil status (birth and death certificates, marriage and divorce certificates);
- court decisions;
- certificates and powers of attorney;
- legal documentation (certificates of ownership, tax papers, etc.)
Another popular procedure is the legalization of a diploma and other educational documents.
Stages of the legalization procedure
Consular legalization begins with the certification of documents in one of the Ministries of Ukraine. This may be the Ministry of Justice, Education, Health, etc. Next, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is engaged in the certification of the document. Well, at the final stage, the document must be certified at the consulate of the state in which it will be used. As you can see, the process is quite complex and, if carried out independently, will require a lot of effort and time. You need to be patient, study the schedules and hours of reception of each body, prepare for queues, running around offices and possible bureaucratic snags.
However, by contacting our Bureau, you can save your time and eliminate the likelihood of making mistakes that delay the entire process. We not only know all the intricacies of communication with the Ministries, but also translate and notarize any documents
